Is it a blouse and skirt, or is it a dress?  A mixed media dress makes it so easy to get dressed in the morning because your separates are already paired up for you.  You also get the benefit of your top and skirt being stitched together - it eliminates the need to tuck your blouse back in your skirt 50 times a day!  That sure aggravates me - and I am thinking that I am not the only one who feels this way.  =)  This lovely BCBG dress is a great combination of a delicate top with a tweedy winter skirt.  I wore this dress a few nights ago on a double dinner date at Art of the Table, a tiny restaurant here in Seattle that is simply amazing.  Check back for my restaurant review tomorrow!

My favorite mixed media dresses are ones in neutral colors like gold/beige or black/grey that can be brightened up with a sweater, jacket, or accessories in your color of choice.  Mixed media dresses like my save and splurge picks below are great for the holiday parties and events coming up on your calendar!

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far, and thank you for reading!
