Wardrobe Essential: Red Flats
Happy Friday! This week was a long one for me, and I am thrilled that the end is finally here. Today's outfit is a casual one in my signature nautical style, featuring my new Tory Burch Reva flats in lobster. Red flats are a wardrobe staple of mine, and I have been meaning to replace an old pair for several months. I have seen many other lovely bloggers rave about their Revas, and had to try a pair on when I saw that they had the perfect shade of red this spring. It was definitely meant to be. =)
Flats: Tory Burch "Reva" in lobster, $225 at Nordstrom here
Bag: Michael Michael Kors satchel in saffiano leather, similar "Alto Small Zip Satchel" in red, $350 at Dooney & Bourke here
Sweater: Banana Republic Outlet, I am loving this Topshop "Breton Stripe Sweater" in navy blue, $72 at Nordstrom here
White Denim: Banana Republic Outlet, similiar "White Skinny Roll-Up Jean" in white (available in short, regular, and tall!), $62.50 (on sale!) at Banana Republic here
Bracelets: Cartier Love & Forever 21 (old), I am loving this "Spice Chunk Bracelet" in gold/red, $32 at Baublebar here
Sunglasses: Kate Spade New York "Lulu Oversized Rectangular Sunglasses" in tortoise/gold, $138 at Nordstrom here
Red flats are more versatile than you might think - they can add a fun pop of color to any outfit consisting of neutral basic colors like black, beige, grey, navy, and white. Check out my save and splurge picks on red flats below:

I lucked out at the end of last summer and found some red flats at Target for $8. I didn't wear them much this winter, because of all the snow , but I am excited to wear them this spring/summer/fall! Your purse is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have heard that Target has some really great flats! I should go check them out - getting a pair for $8 is such a steal! =)
DeleteI amy dying how beautiful the shoes and the bag look together. You'll wear both forever! a very smart purchase :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Fran! That is definitely the plan. ;)
DeleteI've been on the hunt for the perfect red flats, but sadly the Revas are out of my price range :( I'll keep looking though!
ReplyDeleteI remember how much you love your black Target flats - do they have a red this spring?
DeleteI love this nautical look! I don't think that I personally would wear red flats, but I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair of flats. I will have to check out the other colours!

I think I would style red flats the same way! Red flats would also go well with black and white or with an all-white ensemble. I love your bag - it's such a classic style!
ReplyDeleteI own a pair of Reva flats but can't say I am a fan. I think I should have gone a 1/2 size up and they may have been better. But I am not ready to spend another $200 to see if that's the case. I own other TB shoes and they fit comfortably. And I agree- red shoes are so versatile - you look great!

Alice, I went up 1/2 a size! I tried on my normal size (8) but they were just too tight and the back pinched. The 8 1/2 is perfect. I would definitely say go up if you ever try them again. Maybe you can find someone to purchase your smaller pair?
Deletegreat outfit with red accessories :)
