Skater Skirt

Can you believe we are one week from Christmas Day?  I am almost finished with my Christmas shopping, but need to pick up a few final gifts because I've been traveling again the last two weekends.  Hopefully you are already finished with your shopping and are relaxing in the holiday spirit!  Today I want to share with you another version of the fall/winter blogger uniform (shown before here), this time with a bright red skater skirt and boots.  Skater skirts are so popular this holiday season, and it's a trend that I absolutely love.  During this cold and often dreary time of the year, I really enjoy dressing up with girly, flirty pieces like this skirt because it brightens up both my outfit and my mood!  Pairing my J Crew skirt with cozy plaid, knit, and down layers adds warmth, and the bright red + turquoise add perfect pops of color.  This holiday season, I'm seeing skater skirts on everyone from Lea Michele's "Glee" character Rachel Berry to Carrie Underwood's recent appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" for their hilarious holiday medley with Rashida Jones.  I have both Rachel and Carrie's skirts listed in my skater skirt picks, so be sure to check them out below.
