Burberry Trench + Factory Merino Charley Sweater + Studded Pumps
Have you entered my current giveaway? If not, please click here for details on how you can enter to win one of three great prizes: a $100 gift card to Nordstrom, a $100 gift card to Victoria's Secret, or a $100 gift card to ASOS! Don't wait, this giveaway ends on Wednesday.
During the month of December, I checked a few end-of-year cleanup tasks off my to-do list including finally taking a few items in to be tailored. I had this timeless Burberry trench coat shortened by three inches, so now it falls perfectly at my knee (see previous posts with the original length here and here). The removable wool liner was already shorter than the coat, so I didn't need to make any adjustments on the liner. I wore this casual outfit to a Christmas dinner with my family, pairing my khaki trench with a lightweight merino wool sweater, skinny jeans, and studded pumps. I finished the outfit with a peter pan collar necklace, additional gold jewelry, and a red crossbody satchel. This timeless Burberry trench with its waterproof coating and wool liner is just the right weight for typical Seattle winter weather (40 degrees and raining). Now that this trench is just the right length, I will be much happier styling it for warm winter days all the way through spring.
