Winter Style: Duster Coatigan + Sweater Shell Set + Plaid Pants

It is crazy to think that it has been almost a full year since Washington state (and many other states) entered lockdown, we all started working from home, and traditional workwear went out the window. I purchased fewer new items in 2020, but what I did buy was intentional. The purchases I made included comfortable, versatile pieces that suited our new normal like this matching duster coatigan and sweater shell set. You have already seen this matching set styled with a faux leather skirt and leopard booties before the holidays here, but today I am sharing another way to restyle these pieces in a more casual way. This outfit is one that I regularly "wear to work" since these wide leg plaid pants are made of flannel and genuinely feel like pajamas. You may remember that these plaid pants were styled recently on the blog here, and also several times on my Instagram page last winter during a pre-COVID trip to celebrate New Year 2020 in the Tuscany region of Italy. A pair of suede booties and a versatile tote complete this look of existing closet heroes. Please read on for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for matching sets that I think could look fabulous styled for the winter to spring transition.

  8. I love the coatigan. I sometimes forget these are even option. If definitely elevates the look vs. if you just wore a regular cardigan

  9. I love the matching top and duster together! i have a long duster like this in grey that I really missed wearing last winter - it's still stuck in the office, along with a bunch of food that is definitely out of date by now, haha! We are continuing to work from home here also. I like not having the commute as it gives me more time with the kids.

Hope your week is going well :) It's a busy one here!
