Chicwish Review 2022: Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas Part 1

I know it may seem early to talk about Valentine's Day, but with all of the continuing COVID related supply chain delays I honestly believe that thinking ahead is still a good idea. Whether you are planning for a casual date night with your significant other, a small gathering with friends or family, or a low-key night at home, I have all of your bases covered in today's post. I am sharing not one, but three casual Valentine's Day outfit ideas today in partnership with Chicwish, and if you are in the mood for some shopping this season I think there should be plenty of time for orders to be placed and delivered before your holiday celebrations. If you have been following me for a while, you know I am a fan of Chicwish and have purchased multiple pieces over the years including this watercolor floral skirt that I still have and love. However you choose to celebrate Valentine's Day this year, or not celebrate, just know that you are doing an amazing job managing through the last two years, and that I believe 2022 is going to be better for all of us! Please continue reading for more photos, details, and links for all three holiday-ready looks.

This first outfit idea is the ultimate cozy chic Valentine's Day outfit. This turtleneck sweater and plaid skirt in the prettiest shades of red look like they were made to go together, and were the first two pieces I chose for this collaboration. These two pieces together create a gorgeous option for a not-too-dressy-not-too-casual holiday look--I think it really lands quite perfectly in the middle. Tan suede knee high boots are an ideal footwear choice, as knee boots and mini skirts are made for each other. Since it is quite chilly in the Pacific Northwest in February, I added a pompom beanie for extra warmth, and my go-to clutch rounds out this ensemble. I absolutely love this look and know I will be wearing this again!

This second outfit idea has major Chanel vibes and I can't get enough. As soon as I saw this tweed double breasted jacket, I knew it was the next piece I needed for this collaboration and that it would look fabulous with my new Chanel bag. And it has pockets! I know that you all know how much I love a jacket or dress with functional pockets. I absolutely love the blue and pink tones in this jacket, and in today's outfit I opted to highlight the pink with this pretty tank because...Valentine's Day. Faded black jeans, and booties for our crazy week of snow round out this casual ensemble. I think this jacket could also look fabulous with a dress or pencil skirt when I go back to the office.

This third outfit idea is perfect for a low-key holiday at home or with friends, and features this adorable heart sleeve sweater. How cute are these heart shaped elbow patches? I just love them and I cannot think of an easier way to add a bit of festive Valentine cheer. For this casual look, I kept the rest simple with high waist jeans, suede booties, and a beautiful red satchel. I have already worn this sweater a couple of times, and knowing how much I love navy blue pieces you can bet this one will be on rotation this winter and spring.

  4. I really love all but I am biased towards plaid. It's just an amazing print that I can't get enough of. I also agree that 2022 will be a good year. Sure life hasn't returned back to normal but at least we are able to see more and more of our loved ones. That can't be so bad, right?

    1. Thank you so much, Maureen! I love plaid as well, and could not turn down this beautiful red. =) You are correct that being able to spend more time with loved ones is indeed a blessing and I am extremely grateful.

  5. That tweed blazer is amazing! I love it as both a blazer or in warmer weather in the perfect spring coat. You'll get a ton of wear out of it for sure. I am on the lookout for a fun and bright sweater. Since our winters are so long a sweater like the ones you showcased are always a good addition. I am really gravitating towards brighter colors at the moment so that red turtleneck seems like the perfect fit. Have a great week!
