Summer Style: White Button-up Shirt + Denim Cutoffs

Last week I shared my belief that an eyelet dress and straw tote are a quintessential summer pairing, and today I want to share another classic summer outfit combo with you. This post is actually inspired by my blogger friend Jennifer, who runs the sustainable fashion and healthy living blog Curated by Jennifer. Last week, she posted a gorgeous casual outfit with a white button-up shirt, denim shorts, and a striped scarf tied in her hair. Literally the perfect casual summer outfit! I have and love similar wardrobe staples, often reach for them during the summer season, and it only made sense to share my version here on the my blog during the height of summer. My short sleeved button-up shirt is a couple of years old (seen last summer here and summer 2019 here) and I almost always knot it in front rather than tuck it in. My shorts are the Agolde Parkers that were hard to find in all sizes for a bit, but now it looks like stock is better. As many have already said, they are comfortable, fit great, and are 100% worth the cost. In today's look, I added tan block heel sandals, my favorite travel tote (that has surprisingly not yet been featured here yet), and my usual favorite jewelry pieces. Please keep scrolling for more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks to create your own quintessential casual summer outfit.

  5. Too adorable for words. I've been thinking that I would like to add a white button down to my wardrobe but in the past have had such a difficult time finding the right cut/size. But you've totally inspired me to try again! Love this look!

    1. Thank you so much, Bo! I agree that it can be tough to find the right fit, and this one is a little boxier than I initially wanted, but it's SO comfy that I just roll with it. =)
