Transitional Style: Tie Waist Cargo Shirt + Red Accessories

We enjoyed another beautiful, sunny, warm weekend here in Seattle and it was a wonderful reminder of why I love living in the Pacific Northwest. We really do have wonderful summers and transitional seasons from summer to fall! Labor Day weekend  Today I am sharing another transitional outfit with you, one feels classic Americana with a dash of safari vibes. Cargo pieces are back on trend this fall, and you have already seen that I picked up a pair of satin cargo pants earlier this summer. Well, I found another item recently that I could not resist. Roughly ten years ago I had a cropped cargo shirt jacket with three quarter sleeves that had strong safari vibes--I loved it and wore it to death. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I stumbled across this Polo Ralph Lauren Tie-Waist Cargo Shirt on sale that felt like a chic updated version, so of course I had to have it. I followed the size chart, ordered a size 2, and it fits perfectly. In today's ensemble, I styled this cargo shirt with white cropped jeans, block heel sandals, and a couple of red accessories since red is THE color this fall. You likely remember seeing my Prada silk scarf and crossbody styled together here on the blog a few times (if not you can check out those stylings here, here, here, and here), and these timeless pieces perfectly accompany this transitional look. I am ready to go back to Africa for another safari! Please continue reading to see more photos, outfit links, and more of my picks for cargo pieces that I think would look amazing styled now and straight into fall.

  5. Although I heard many people tell me that I look good in red, I never actually wear it, not even through accessories! The maximum I do is put on a red lipstick when I'm in the mood. I love the way you added a touch of red in your neutral transitional outfit, though, it gives me some ideas! You look gorgeous. <3

  7. Oh that is such a fun top! I love that it's similar to something you had and wore to death before, you are sure to get a lot of wear from it. The red in the scarf and bag really pop with the neutrals. As always, you have accessorised so perfectly. I'm in awe how you always know just how to perfectly accessorise each outfit, you are so stylish :)
