Holiday Outfit Idea: Plaid Pants + Lace Inset Sweater
How many holiday events do you have planned or are you attending this year? Time flies and despite the fact that I am in denial, Christmas is only one week away. My husband and I recently went to check out our local downtown Seattle Christmas Market with friends--kind of a big deal because this is the first year we have had a European-style Christmas Market with food and local vendor stalls as well as Glühwein, beer, and non-alcoholic drink options. It was little but cute! I hope there is enough attendance to make it a recurring thing and even bigger next year. This coming week we will be spending time with family (both sides) and I will be styling casual looks with holiday touches like the outfit I am sharing with you today. These plaid pants are not new, you all have seen them a few times here on the blog (here, here, and here) over the last couple of years, and they always go into rotation during the holidays. There is something about plaid pieces and the holidays that just makes sense to me! These pants pair very nicely with this merino wool lace inset sweater in navy blue, suede booties, and a cozy wool blend double face coat. A navy and burgundy colorblock tote adds a fun pop of additional color. While most of the items in this ensemble are old, if you continue scrolling you will see more photos along with links to the same or similar pieces, and more of my picks for plaid pieces that I think would look amazing styled this holiday season and beyond.

Yes to this plaid--inspired look! The colors of this plaid are unexpected and chic. I usually go for dresses for holiday parties but would love to do a look like this.
