As much as I dislike cold weather and endless days of Seattle rain, I do love piling on cozy layers.  An essential piece of my fall wardrobe is what I have labeled "the perfect leather jacket."  This shawl-collared, super-soft treasure was one of my best finds at Nordstrom Rack.  Originally priced at $400, I happened to find it for $179.99...while still an expensive purchase, I know that I will have this jacket for years and when I look at cost-per-wear I am already getting my money's worth.  =)  The shawl collar is great to pull up around my neck for extra warmth, the pockets are just the right size to keep my fingers toasty, and the fit is slim and flattering even with layers underneath.

 Finding the perfect leather jacket can be tough, but once found it is a wonderful and versatile investment piece that pairs with everything from girly dresses to your favorite t-shirt.  I searched for a variety of leather jackets that are available online now and give you your choice of several hot styles.  Knowing that leather jackets are investment pieces, I have narrowed my selections to jackets that won't cost you a month's rent!  My picks are between $118 and $450, allowing for both save and splurge options (there is one vegan pick!).  Check out the shawl-collar, quilted moto, and two-tone styles below:
