Now that we are in full-on fall layering season, I have put away my summer sandals and started digging out all of my close-toed shoes for winter.  I realized that I need to replace an old pair of brown pumps with a new pair that are comfortable enough to wear all day at work, and because I tend to wear preppy layers to work I want to get a pair of loafer pumps.  Loafer pumps were huge last fall, and I didn't buy into it then, but now they are back this year with plenty of great styles to choose from!

These are my top two choices at the moment:

Left:  "Mya" penny pump, available in black or dark amber, $128 at Banana Republic here
Right:  Pour La Victoire "Isla" loafer pump in brown, $99.99 at Loehmann's here

I also like these two below.  The style on the left is a little chunkier and the style on the right is not exactly the color I originally thought of getting, but this brand is SO comfortable:

Left:  Sofft "Nickelby" pump, available in tobacco or black, $119.95 at Nordstrom here
Right:  Sofft "Abena" Loafer Pump in smog metallic, red, or black, $114.95 at Nordstrom here

And finally, the splurge options:

Left: Kate Spade Leather Loafer Pumps in brown, $298 at Saks here
Right:  Cole Haan "Braiden" Slip-On Loafer in chestnut, $178 at Amazon here

Now I just have to decide...what is your take on loafer pumps?  Would you wear them?  Which ones do you think I should choose?

Happy hump day!  =)

  1. I don't know how you are going to choose - they are all so cute! I actually bought a pair of black loafer pumps at Banana Republic last year, but returned them because I felt really guilty spending $100+ on shoes i can't even wear to work.

    1. I'm leaning toward the Banana Republic loafers, and my game plan is to use the next 40% coupon that comes through my inbox...plus a $20 reward that I have been saving to bring them under $60. Crossing fingers they still have my size when I am ready to pull the trigger! =)

    1. Thank you! It is crazy...I ordered this blazer online and it happened to be exactly what I wanted. How often does that happen?
