Peeking Polka Dots
Shirt: BDG Oxford Boyfriend Shirt in dark gray, $39 at Urban Outfitters here
Sweater: "Fitted Long Sleeve V-Neck Sweater" in red, $39.90 (on sale!) at Express here
Denim: Joe's Jeans "Skinny Visionaire" in lainey, $167 at Amazon here
Boots: Corso Como "Racine" boot, no longer available but similar "Rena" style is $199 at Piperlime here
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs "Blade" Crystal Index watch in silver/gunmetal, $275 at Nordstrom here or $275 at Piperlime here
Ring: "Siam Swarovski Abstract" in dark red, $29 here + "MOD" ring base in sterling silver, $69 here at Bijoulee
For today's layered look, I chose to let the collar and cuffs of my BDG polka dot oxford shirt peek out from underneath a bold red sweater. Polka dots dots add cheer to any fall outfit, which is definitely something we need on gloomy, cold, rainy days in Seattle! They look equally cute on a collared shirt underneath your sweater as they do on your sweater itself.
This ring is also very special to me because my parents picked it out for me on a recent vacation. I had not heard of the brand, Bijoulee, prior to receiving this gift, but they have very unique, patent-pending designs. You purchase a ring base of your choice, and then the top of the ring is interchangeable! I am a huge fan of large cocktail rings, and I think this is such a cool idea! The link to the main page of the site, if you want to check it out, is: http://www.bijoulee.com/index.htm
Back to polka dots...here are a couple of my favorite save and splurge picks for polka dot tops and sweaters to add some cheer to your fall and winter wardrobe:
Left: Save on the BDG "Polka Dot Button-Down Denim Shirt" in blue multi (chambray plus dots, two great trends in one!), $59 at Urban Outfitters here
What is your preferred way to wear polka dots? Thus far I'm a fan of the subtle, small dots but I'm seeing more and more big, bold dot prints that I like. Thanks so much for reading!
